Tasty Tuesday

Kale Chips
I have been hearing about these more and more lately.  I figure kale has probably been around forever, but it is kind of "in" right now. Who knew that vegetables could be a fad? I heard kale chips mentioned in two television shows last week alone. Thought I'd give them a whirl.

Well, they're awesome! Chad and I devoured them.  I will for sure have to buy more than one bunch the next trip to the grocery store. So this week here are some bite sized healthy treats to balance out those bite sized fun bars from Halloween!:)

Easy and entirely gone in less than five minutes!
Kale Chips
recipe from AllRecipes.com

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch kale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt

Directions

  1. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a non insulated cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  2. With a knife or kitchen shears carefully remove the leaves from the thick stems and tear into bite size pieces. Wash and thoroughly dry kale with a salad spinner. Drizzle kale with olive oil and sprinkle with seasoning salt.
  3. Bake until the edges brown but are not burnt, 10 to 15 minutes.
